Dr. Brian Russell, Of Counsel, brings a wealth of expertise to Howell, Buchan & Strong, with a distinguished career in law and psychology. He earned his Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration degrees in 1998 from the University of Kansas, where he was honored as a Rice Scholar and received the Payne & Jones Award for legal writing. In 2005, Brian completed his Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology, also at the University of Kansas, further solidifying his deep understanding of the intersection between law and mental health. His academic journey began with a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Relations from Rockhurst College (now Rockhurst University) in 1994, where he graduated cum laude as a Presidential Scholar.
As a licensed psychologist in Kansas, Missouri, Texas, and Florida, Dr. Russell has maintained a thriving private practice since 2006, providing behavioral health services to a diverse clientele, including adults, adolescents, and children. His current focus is on offering therapy to attorneys and other high-performing professionals, helping them navigate the unique stresses of their careers.
