What’s Next: Upcoming Capital Medical Society Presentation

Our Firm is continuing our relationship with leadership and members of the Capital Medical Society (CMS) in Tallahassee, Florida, where our headquarters is located. We are enjoying time spent meeting members of CMS and providing helpful information to those in attendance at continuing medical education (CME) dinner meetings.

The next CMS meeting is scheduled for August 11, 2026, in Tallahassee, and the presentation is Updates in Colorectal Cancer and the Role of Minimally Invasive Surgery. The presenter is Jarrod Robertson, M.D., F.A.C.S. Dr. Robertson is the Division Chief of Surgical Oncology and Assistant Professor with the Florida State University College of Medicine. He is also a TMGPP Surgical Specialist.  The meeting starts at 6:00 pm and will be held at the beautiful Maguire Center for Lifelong Learning at Westminster Oaks.

Colon cancer is the third most diagnosed cancer in the world, according to the American Cancer Society (Society).[1]  The Society states, “In the United States, colorectal cancer is the third-leading cause of cancer-related deaths in men and the fourth leading cause in women, but it’s the second most common cause of cancer deaths when numbers for men and women are combined.”[2]  So, be sure to go to the CMS’s webpage, https://capmed.org/events/ for more information and to reserve your seat for the presentation and dinner.
