Congratulations to Attorney Rickey Strong: ALF Administrator Certification!

You may wonder why is one of our Firm’s top attorneys studying and sitting for the ALF Administrator’s Certification. Because Howell, Buchan & Strong, Attorneys at Law, believes in going the extra mile when learning about our client’s business or profession. Our attorneys are encouraged to take Continuing Legal Education (CLE) courses, get additional training and/or become Board Certified in a Specialty.

Our Firm’s philosophy is to deliver first rate legal services to our clients but also encourage our lawyers to learn more. We believe in education! Two of our attorneys teach Health Care Law and Health Policy at the University level to graduates and graduate students studying in the field of health care management. One of our Partners is exploring the Certificate in Bioethics. Throughout the year our law firm awards 4 scholarships to deserving nursing students.

Rick’s completion of the ALF Administrator Certification is a logical step for him as his law practice focuses on representing Assisted Living Facilities, Home Health Agencies, Nurse Registries, Health Care Clinics, and many of the other types of facilities licensed by Florida’s Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA). Rick is sought after by owners, investors, and manager’s of health care facilities or those out of state wishing to open such facilities and need assistance with the AHCA Licensing Application. He also is a part of our litigation team in cases where an existing facility is cited by AHCA through the investigation and Administrative Complaint process.

Rickey Strong is a 2001 graduate of Florida State University. He also earned his MBA from Mercer University in Atlanta, Georgia in 2005 and earned his law degree from the Florida A&M University College of Law in Orlando, Florida in 2008.
