Howell, Buchan, & Strong, Attorneys at Law law firm broadens reach into Southwest Florida

Tallahassee-based Howell, Buchan & Strong, Attorneys at Law, has added a third office to its practice specializing in health care matters. The new location opens today in Sarasota to serve all Southwest Florida.

A year ago we opened a new law firm — Howell, Buchan & Strong, Attorneys at Law — with four attorneys and a staff of five, working at offices in Tallahassee and Orlando. We had a great 2019 thanks in great measure to the diligence and dedication of everyone on the team. I’m blessed to have such great people delivering high-caliber service to our clients.

Today, in order to assist health care workers in Southwest Florida, we open a third office of Jeffrey S. Howell law firm, this time in Sarasota. Its address is 630 S. Orange Ave., Suite 200-B, Sarasota, Fla. 34236. The telephone number is (941) 779-4348.

Thomas “Tom” Buchan, a Sarasota native, will be managing attorney in the new location. Not only will it put us closer to our Southwest Florida clients, it will open new opportunities. 

In 2018 Tom graduated from the Florida State University College of Law, where he had been  awarded the Katzentine/Simon Endowed Scholarship. He received his B.S.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Central Florida in 2012. He also attended the Junior Statesmen Summer School at Yale University in 2008.

Tom’s practices include health care licensing and regulation, administrative law, and civil litigation. He has represented clients before the Florida Board of Accountancy as well as litigated in administrative proceedings involving the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration. His experience includes civil litigation in State and Federal Courts. He’s a member of the Health Law and Administrative Law sections of the Florida Bar.
